Nine months

28 April 2009

About 9 months ago Marcello (aka Marsel), a friend of mine, opened a new blog to tell about the journey he was going to start: from Padua (Italy) to North Cape (Norway) by motorbike.  He was so exciting to follow him and his friends travelling around Europe, listen about day by day where they were, what they saw and what happened to them. If you are interested, you can still read their blog point to this link: motonord.wordpress.com; all the texts are in Italian, but if you don’t speak it you can anyway enjoy the spectacular pictures they shooted.

I enjoyed so much following their travel on the blog I took two decisions.
The first was simple: I opened my own blog (this one you’re currently reading, but on a different url) to tell about my upcoming trip to Thailand.
The second was a little bit more challenging: I asked Marsel to join his company on the following tour!

It was about nine months ago.  A lot of things happened in the meanwhile.  Somethings started, something ended, something are still running and others are just in stand-by.  Anyway, more things happened during the last months than that I thought could be; and more unexpected are maybe going to come in the future…

montre-molle-au-momentNine months have gone and, despite of the rain, spring is here and, with it, the spring moto-tour as well. It should be easier than going to the extreme northern limit of  Europe, hopefully. For sure it will shorter, 4 days in our plan (but talking about “plans” I understood it’s a little bit too excessive :-]), but still I think it will be challenging for me (for reasons I’ll maybe explain another time).
And I’m glad about that, springtime is the right time to undertake new challanges… and to undertake new challanges can make any time be springtime.

Keep on reading, on the next few days, for news from the tour!
